Which screen is it?
- Inner screen — the large folding one. Common faults: a line or dark patch along the crease, a dead strip, the protective film peeling, or touch not working near the hinge.
- Outer screen — the cover screen you use when the phone is closed. Usually cracked glass from a drop, like a normal phone.
If one screen goes black while the other still works, it can also be the flex cable running through the hinge rather than the screen itself. We check that first, so you don't pay for a screen you don't need.

Foldables we've worked on
31 foldable screen jobs in the last 90 days, mostly Samsung Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip, plus Honor Magic V and Oppo Find N Flip. The full list by model is below.
Before you bring it in
- Don't keep folding a phone with a damaged inner screen — the crease is where damage spreads.
- Don't peel the factory film on the inner screen. It's part of the screen, not a removable protector.
- If the phone is still under the maker's warranty or a care plan, check with the brand first.
